SUMMER CAMP FOR AGES 5-9 CLICK HERE to Register

At Washington Soccer Club (WSC) we are continuing our summer camps. Our camps provide young players a safe, fun and supportive environment to develop their soccer skills. All the coaches and administrators of the camp were once young players with WSC. Through the WSC training they were all able to develop into great players and stewards of their community. The skills learned through WSC afforded them college scholarships and professional careers. The coaches are excited to provide the same training and opportunity they received to this years campers.

CAMP STAFF

A cadre of highly skilled and experienced coaches and counselors will work under the overall direction of Osman “Ossie” Orlando, WSC co-founder and Director of Coaching.  Ossie is an USSF A‑licensed coach with vast experience as a player and a coach.  He starred on the National Team of his native Ghana for seven years before coming to the U.S. to play professionally with Cincinnati of the American Soccer League. In 1986, he coached “Wildfire” to the women’s national amateur championship and, in 2002, he was named the NCAA Division II Coach of the Year while coach at the University of the District of Columbia.

Ossie’s coaching experience with youth players is equally impressive. For many years he coached high school teams in Virginia and at the St. Albans summer camp.  In 1988, he began to coach travel teams.  Since then, his WSC teams have played in the NCSL’s 1st Division a total of 26 seasons and won the VYSA State Championship twice. Six of his former WSC players have played in MLS, two have been named to U.S. National Teams, and many have played in college for Division I teams.
