In August 2009, the Washington Soccer Club assumed the organizational leadership of the Ward 4 Soccer League, of which it was a founding partner along with the Friends of Takoma Recreation Center. WSC operated the recreation program as a league until 2012 when the focus shifted to developing soccer skills through play. All WSC coaches are exceptionally skilled with experience in playing high level competitive soccer.
The WSC developmental recreation program offers skill-based activites during the fall, winter and spring to children 3-6 years old. No soccer experience is needed. All players must register to particpate. The registration includes insurance coverage for all players. There is also the more competetive Pre-Travel Team for ages 6-10.
Our fall and spring programs are held at Takoma Recreation Center behind the playground at 300 Van Buren Street, NW. The winter indoor sessions have been held at Riggs-LaSalle Community Center, 501 Riggs Rd, NE.
